Book Launch Events!

I definitely don’t have a good grasp of time at the moment. I mean, I do, in some ways, but I guess I’m just not entirely on top of things. Too many spinning plates.

I have a couple of things to share with you though, the first is news about the imminent launch of HARU - Book 1: Spring. The Hardback is out on March 12th, and the Paperback is out on April 11th. I think the UK will mainly have the Paperback, but some places do seem to be stocking the Hardback too.

Also, I’m going to be doing a couple of events to celebrate the launch!

These are my first ever solo events for anything like this, so I’d hugely appreciate all or any support if anyone is able to make it along. It’s scary putting yourself out there, but it feels worse not to celebrate such a milestone. The details are:

Next, another big milestone, I’ve just finished inking HARU - Book 2!

I can hardly believe that I’ve just finished inking another 270 pages of comic. Even though I’m horribly late in finishing it, I’m still incredibly proud of myself. I think the art in this book is definitely an improvement, but that may be just because it’s most recent. Art is subjective and everything, I just feel like my decision making is improving.

I can’t wait to share more of this with you. It’s tricky to share the process on these specific pages right now as I don’t think the publisher has even seen them all yet, not inked anyway. So I need to keep some bits on the down low for now.

But anyway, back to it. I have some additional pieces of art I need to start planning and drawing for Book 2. Chapter titles, endpapers, fun details like that. Those bits really help to make a book feel cohesive and special.
